Don't touch that dial!
It’s hard to believe how the time is flying by and that I still haven’t written a further installment about my effort to understand modern/post-modern thinking and consider how it has affected the way I think and influenced the theology and practice of church. I have however been busy, with 4 books in progress at the moment: At the End of an Age, by John Lukacs, Who’s Afraid of Post Modernism (Taking Derrida, Lyotard and Foucault to Church) by James K. A. Smith, Stories of Emergence, Moving from Absolute to Authentic, (various contributors), and A Generous Orthodoxy by Brian McLaren. The first two are heavy-going and I've done alot of re-reading. But there is some great food for thought in these books, and I hope to set out my findings and reflections soon. If you are someone who checks out my blog please check back in about a week (maybe less). And, thanks for staying with me!
By the way, I see the right side of my blog (which contains the personal info, archives, etc.) has dropped to the bottom of the page. This happened before, and after a while it self-correctedso I'm ignoring the problem. If however you want to look at a previous post, scroll to the bottom of the page.
